Art For Your Body

I've described in my personal "about" page, I have been making jewelry for as long as I can remember. Like so many other jewelry artists, making jewelry is a creative outlet for me. It's relaxing and gratifying, and so many other things. It's what I do.

I had an original design published in the May-June, 2005 issue of Step by Step Beads, I've sold my jewelry in shops and at a few craft shows. I am so happy to have this shop on Etsy and I love this method of selling and promoting my work. I have moved many times in my life, and my "work shop" now is actually a corner of my bedroom. (Luckily I have a fairly big bedroom). But that's another great thing about Etsy, it can go with you almost wherever you are! I buy as many of my supplies as possible right here which is another thing I love about our community, and what a great community we are. :)

I sell many pieces with seed beads, and I tell the size in most listings. A seed bead size is determined by the approximate "beads per centimeter", so a size 11-o for example would mean you need 11 beads in a row to cover 1 centimeter of space. Therefore, like wire gauges, the higher the number the smaller the bead. Size 11 beads, which I use a lot of, are small - when I say tiny I mean tiny. :) I hope this clarifies the sizes described in my listings.
